The use of hashtag “DeshKaDumdaarSmartphone”, which translates to “Country’s Powerful Smartphone”, is a strong hint towards which smartphone is going to be launched on the 11th of Feb. The company has used “Dumdaar” moniker to market the Redmi 8A that was launched last year, so it’s natural that now they’re going to launch its successor.
The company has also set up a landing page on its website for the launch. That page confirms the presence of a dual-lens camera, 5000 mAh battery, and curved edge design. Unofficial rumors have already revealed the processing power of this beast some time ago, and according to them, it’s going to arrive with Helio G70 SoC underneath. That’s the same SoC which powers Realme C3 launched today. 18-watt fast charging support will also be included along with a Type-C USB port, the rumor mill suggests.
Other new products
But Redmi 9A is probably not the only thing that Xiaomi is going to launch on the 11th of Feb. The teaser video shared by them also talks of a new product category, and the landing page title #MorePowerToRedmi seems to suggest that the company may launch new Redmi-branded power banks alongside this smartphone. So it’ll be an interesting launch event. We’ll keep our eyes on it and will bring you all the details that come out of it, so don’t forget to visit us on February 11.
