It’s not uncommon for a smartphone to come on the radar of the rumor mill right after the launch of its predecessor. So when rumors of Samsung Galaxy A51 started appearing soon after the launch of Galaxy A50s, we were not surprised at all. But now something more than rumors has leaked about this device. For the first time, we’re getting to see the renders of Galaxy A51, which tell us what this upcoming beast may look like. The possible specs of the device had already leaked some time ago, so we can say that the beans have already been spilled on most of its details.
The renders leaked today are courtesy of SamMobile, and they show the device with a quad-cam setup on the back and a punch-hole camera on the front. The display is similar to the displays of other recently launched Samsung flagships, with an almost completely bezel-less design. Finally, the edges look slim and rounded, and the body seems to be made of 3D Glass. Have a look:
The headline feature of this device is, of course, its camera module. The L-shaped camera setup is not only a first of its kind for Samsung flagships, but it’s also one of the best ones across its various lineups. According to rumors, it’s a 48mp main sensor coupled with 12mp ultra-wide lens, 5mp depth-sensing lens and a 5mp macro lens. On the front, there’s a 32mp camera for selfies, positioned right in the centre of the screen. These specs have also been confirmed by SamMobile itself.
Other rumored specs of the device include Exynos 9611 octa-core processor, 4GB and 6GB RAM variants with 64GB and 128GB of storage, respectively. The display is expected to be a 6.5-inch FHD+ resolution Super AMOLED display. All this stuff is likely to be powered by a 4,000 mAh battery, which you’ll be able to charge quickly with 15w fast charging. An in-display fingerprint sensor is also rumored to be a part of this device.
Samsung is expected to launch Galaxy A51 on December 12, as a video recently posted by Samsung Vietnam seemed to suggest.
We’ll be keeping our eyes on the launch event and will bring you every new detail that comes out of it.
