PUBG Mobile has decided to distribute rights in the Indian market. According to the report, PUBG is having an early conversation with the airtel company in India for it.
Airtel is a trusted telecom company in India and PUBG mobile chooses it for India rights. According to Sensor Tower Data PUBG had to face a huge fall of 26% in its global download count. This sharp fall was noticed in September this year. PUBG was banned in the Indian market in September and this is the main reason for its global download count.
This loss has made PUBG corporation necessary to find its partner in India. PUBG has to search and finalize India’s partner as early as possible. Sources have stated that PUBG was in conversation with Reliance Jio. This deal was failed and couldn’t reach to the conclusive stage. After this failed deal PUBG corporation continued to search for another right partner in India.
As per Entrackr’s report “PUBG is in an early conversation with Airtel for handling over distribution rights to the telecom giant. This desperation shows that PUBG has been trying hard to get back into Indian market”.
It also added that “the gaming platform is also busy in raising a lean team in India. It has been interviewing a candidate with experience of under four to six years”. Although this report is all over the internet Airtel and the PUBG corporation denied any comment on their conversation.
It is known that PUBG mobile games got banned in India by the Indian government on the 2nd of September. This ban affected PUBG mobile relationships with Korean promotors too. These promotors broke the relationship with Tencent in the Indian market.
PUBG has now to concern with its global download rate which has shown a sharp fall of 26% in September. This fall was the obvious result of the PUBG mobile ban in India. Post this ban PUBG mobile recorded the highest downfall since release. This downfall made PUBG mobile think of the Indian market again. The company has to find some alternative to its distribution in India.
It was reported by Sensor Tower that there are about 185.5 million Indian users who have PUBG mobile on their smartphones. This was 24% of the global downloads of PUBG mobile and it is the highest. Due to the pandemic, PUBG mobile has a great time from June to August in terms of global downloads. But it cut short sharply by 26% in September. This counted 10.7 million downloads in September whereas this count was 14.6 million in the August month.

Ludo king found to be on the top of the list. It was the most downloaded gaming app in the month of the PUBG ban. It noted about 10.3 million installs in the same month. This list also includes Among Us, royal game Garena Free Fire. PUBG game has made an impact on the Indian gaming market and it is obvious that it has to gain market again.
