Google Camera 7.2 comes with the Pixel 4, but the users with the older Pixels are left behind with version 6.3 of the Google Camera app. The latest reports by the users depict that Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 are also getting updated on the Play Store to Camera 7.2. A significant interface change, plenty of additional features and at the same time a lot of drawbacks can be noticed by those who have not installed or updated any intermediate APKs.
The huge jump from 6.3 to 7.2 comes with all the features seen in Camera 7.0 leak, and the Camera 7.1 and Camera 7.2 releases for Pixel 4. The Google Camera 7.2 brings with it the latest interface, swipeable options which are usually hidden, and the different camera modes present below the screen button.
The options for social sharing are also the latest, which lets one swipe on a photo to send it directly through WhatsApp, Messages, and Instagram, Telegram, and Facebook stories.
Pixel 2 XL has already lost the ability and capability to take rupture photos. A short video of low resolution is recorded on holding and tapping on the shutter button, but since the Top Shot is devoid of Pixel 2, higher resolution videos fail to get exported unlike the case in Pixel 4. Pixel 3 is slightly better than Pixel 2 in consideration of this feature.
Astrophotography is a bonus for the users having Pixel 3 devices. On switching your phone to Night Sight and keeping it super steady, a toast message pops up on the screen saying “Astrophotography on.” Taking a shot with the toast on, approximately one minute is needed by the Night Sight to capture as much detail and light as possible. It may not last four minutes like that in Pixel 4, but it will give you proper and decent results. On the other hand, Night Sight takes very little time or a few seconds from Pixel 2 XL per shot.
The confiscation of burst photos is not the only drawback of Pixel 4, but the video resolution alternatives for the selfie or front camera are completely deleted out. The rear camera gives you a choice to shoot in 4K. Though FPS settings are not available in the case of 4K, one gets to choose between 30 or 60fps in the case of no-4K. The video resolution default setup is 1080p. Some minor and minimal changes are also included in the update.
