Throughout 2019, WhatsApp added quite features, including better support for Google Assistant and encryption for fingerprints. There’s no pause for the Facebook-owned company, as it seems like a function influenced by Snapchat is next in line.
The firm is working on features like the ‘ Delete Message ‘ option. This Disappearing feature is different from the one-to-one and group chats feature ‘ delete for everyone. ‘
The WhatsApp beta version 2.19.348, as per the WABetaInfo, a fan website that monitors the changes of the software, reveals the functionality of the lost message that has now been dubbed ‘ Remove Messages. ‘
If we read media reports, there will also be the ‘ Delete Message ‘ feature in Dark Mode. The feature ‘ Dark Mode’ is still being developed. WhatsApp, the online messaging system with over 1.5 billion active users, lags behind other apps in the dark mode deployment. All the other apps were quick to incorporate the dark mode, but with its all-white interface, Whatsapp is still stuck.
Users will be able to view a new option called’ Disappearing Messages’ with different intervals under the Group Settings menu. Five seconds and an hour would be the time intervals. If a user selects five seconds, the messages will be deleted every five seconds. If a client chooses the time as one hour, it will work similarly.
It also emerged that the release timeline of this ‘ delete email ‘ function does not include any data. The company is working behind the scenes on a variety of unreleased apps.
The article also notes that the functionality is currently being tested for group chats, but we might expect the company to launch it for person talks, which will be very helpful for consumers. As described above, WhatsApp has just started to develop the functionality, and WABetaInfo has also provided no estimated arrival date.
Occasionally, for some purpose, a client will be forced to delete the current conversation, but there may be some important information that he/she does not want to delete in the older conversations. The Disappearing Messages will also provide users with an optional option not to fully uninstall a conversation, but instead may use this function concealed inside the settings to keep the latest messages from being saved.
Its functionality will also eliminate the inconvenience of manually deleting unwanted messages so consumers won’t have to look back to also remove unwanted messages.
